Photo painting

I saw a lot of awesome painting today at the school from other people's presentations, so i wanted to try a painting of me and my parents from a photo at mt. rainier, the photo was referenced, not traced. Had a lot of fun with this one, looking forward to doing more work from photos.

the trees were a ridiculous amount of fun to paint. I tried not to go too detailed with anything, just the bare essentials to show value, color, and texture.
